Job Introduction

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a hands on and proactive Senior Sales and Events Manager responsible for the performance of the events and sales team and the growth of both wedding and non-wedding business at Farnham Castle.

The role has 2 distinct, but complementary, elements. Firstly, managing a team to successfully deliver over 200 events per year, and secondly, the day to day management of the sales operation.

 The Sales & Events Manager will play a key role in the development and implementation of Farnham Castle’s sales and marketing plan.

More about the role:

The role will encompass managing a team of 7 across sales and events to achieve the delivery of Farnham Castle’s sales budget. The role’s main focus will be too consistently and successfully delivery events, particularly weddings. Performance manage, motivate and inspire the sales and events team to achieve KPI targets Drive the expansion of conference, meeting and events business and develop a base of repeat customers. Work with the wider Conference Channel to deliver an effective strategy to meet agreed targets. Lead and encourage a performance and delivery oriented events culture throughout the Farnham Castle sales and events team.

Who you are:

  • Candidate should be educated to at least 'A' level standard and will preferably be a graduate.
  • A post graduate qualification in business or marketing would be highly valued.
  • Will have extensive sales and/or events management experience within the UK conference and event industry with a proven track record of meeting targets.
  • Will be experienced in performance managing teams to achieve KPIs, producing sales plans and targets, and developing business strategy to achieve growth expectations
  • Must be competent in Microsoft Office and have a good understanding of database management.
