We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our team at the Royal Armouries Museum on a flexible basis. As an Admin Assistant, you will provide vital administrative support to ensure the smooth running of event and office operations. You’ll be part of a hardworking, professional team, dedicated to providing excellent service to both internal colleagues and external clients.
Known for its world-class collection of arms and armour, the Royal Armouries Museum is a dynamic venue hosting conferences, events, exhibitions and private functions, offering a welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors alike.
Our successful Administration Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- General administration duties such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining tidy workspaces
- Managing staffing rotas and deployment
- Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain records accurately
- Producing reports and attending meetings with note-taking responsibilities
- Ordering stationery and office supplies within the allocated budget
- Undertaking ad hoc projects or supporting other areas as required
- Ensuring compliance with fire, health, safety, and hygiene procedures

Shifts
Flexibility to work 3 days a week, 8-hour days is essential. This is a zero-hour role, so days/hours may occasionally change depending on business needs.
Who you are
Our ideal Administration Assistant will:
- Have proven previous experience in office administration
- Be computer literate, with excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, and other office systems
- Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Be an excellent team player with strong communication skills
- Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a can-do attitude
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail
- Be professional, polite, and friendly in all interactions
- An NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent is desirable
