Job Introduction

Job Title: Apprentice Bid Co Ordinator
Salary: Competitive
Location: Remote with requirements to travel

Hours/working pattern: 40 Hours per week Mon to Fri

Homebased role, but must be willing and able to travel to offices for meetings, bid kick offs, review sessions, training and 121s.

So, you’ve never heard of a bid coordinator? Don’t worry – most of us hadn’t either when we started in the bidding world. It’s a role that’s often tucked away in sales or marketing teams, but once the door’s open there are endless possibilities.

Were you one of the few people who actually enjoyed your exams? Did you love trying to hit top marks? Do you have a creative streak but thrive best when everything is organised?

We’re looking for a detail-driven, creative, and confident candidate to join our bold and brilliant team of coordinators, proposal managers, writers, and designers – we’re an assorted bunch!

We’re offering you the opportunity to join an inspiring, fun and boundary pushing team within a FTSE100 company. Starting as a bid coordinator, you’ll be working with the proposal team across a wide range of sectors, to support the creation of work winning bids, and working towards a Bid Co-Ordinator apprenticeship.

We also offer an achievable route to progression, with full training programmes and the platform to succeed. Your goal might be to be a bid writer, a bid manager, designer, or project manager – you can do that here, and we’ll help you get there.
On top of all of that, did we mention we’re a catering company, that’s food – and who doesn’t like food?

Your key responsibility is to support the team in the project management of a variety of PQQs, proposals, tenders, and presentations by creating and editing a range of written content, developing inspiring designs, creating videos and co-ordinating with Proposal Managers, external suppliers, and consultants to get the best out of everyone – and this means you’ll:
 •             Co-ordinate and complete RFI and PQQs using standard and tailored responses as appropriate, undertaking research where necessary
•             Support and arrange bid kick-off meetings, and draft and manage bid programmes to ensure all tasks are delegated correctly to the bid team
•             Assist with and coordinate the production of tender documents meeting strict deadlines, ensuring that all tender instructions relating to production and submission are compliant
•             Brief and liaise with members of the team to manage design and print production
•             Support in developing written content for RFPs and ITTs using standard and tailored responses as appropriate, undertaking research where necessary
•             Join brainstorming sessions to share views and opinions on the bid solution / approach
•             Work independently to build and maintain good relationships, communicating professionally and effectively at all times.
