Apprentice Data Analyst

Job Introduction

The role will include collecting, organising and studying data to provide business insight. You will likely work across a variety of projects, providing data solutions to a range of stakeholders and customers.  

You will learn about data analysis, data structures, big data, processes and tools for data integration. 

Responsible for creating, supporting managing, and reporting key operational data for the Central Support Unit. 

Analysing & using the insight from this reporting/data to support decision making on key investments or process improvements. 

More about the role:

  • Create data dashboards, graphs and visualisations 

  • Develop records management processes and policies 

  • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes 

  • Set up and maintain automated data processes 

  • Identify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing 

  • Produce and track key performance indicators 

  • Develop and support reporting processes 

  • Monitor and audit data quality 

  • Liaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data content 

  • Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques 

  • Design and carry out surveys and analyse survey data 

  • Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets relating to the employer's business 

  • Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting too

Essential Skills

  • Spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Excel. 

  • Experience with Information system troubleshooting. 

  • Ability to communicate information to a non-technical audience. 

  • Passion to do the right thing 

  • Good commercial acumen  

  • Proven track record of being quality driven 

 

Desirable Skills

  • Computer systems 

  • Excel and spreadsheet knowledge 

 

 

What we'll give:

Apprentice 

SALARY: 18,500

LOCATION: Parklands, Birmingham

REPORTING TO: Data MI Lead

HOURS/WORKING PATTERN: 37.5hrs - Mon-Fri

DURATION: Minimum 15 months
