We boast a highly trained team of managers, chefs and waiting staff, who ensure our customers receive the best possible service.
As the Assistant HSE Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and food safety compliance across all catering and retail areas at the venue. This includes identifying and managing risks, implementing practical solutions to protect employees, guests, and stakeholders, and fostering a strong safety culture within the workplace.
You will play a key role in training, guiding, and inspiring teams to deliver exceptional service while maintaining compliance with health and food safety regulations. The role requires an individual who is proactive, knowledgeable, and eager to continuously improve safety standards and operations.
- Responsible for Health + Safety and Food Safety Compliance including Allergen Management
Lead the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the company’s H+S and Food Safety Policies.
Develop and deliver training sessions for employees to meet legal and company requirements.
Coordinate H+S and food safety measures on event days to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
Stay updated on changes to health, safety, and welfare legislation, and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
Promote and maintain a strong H+S culture across the venue.
Support the operational teams in meeting their annual HSE objectives.
- NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely certification.
Level 3 Food Hygiene or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar HSE or food safety role, preferably in a retail or hospitality setting.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance compliance.
Experience of compliance auditing within food businesses and supporting follow up actions to drive compliance improvements.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Passionate and positive attitude toward food and workplace safety.
Experience implementing policies and procedures to strengthen compliance, react to new business initiatives or address changes in risk environments.
Hands-on, standards-driven management style.
Ability to work weekends and evenings when required.
Assertive, calm, works well under pressure.
Effective team player with a “can-do” attitude.
