Assistant - Zero Hours - The Role-
Guest Service
Provide a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all guests, delegates, and visitors
Assist guests with enquiries and ensure their needs are met promptly and efficiently
Deliver a consistently high level of customer service in line with Yarnfield Park standards
Food & Beverage Service
Assist with the setup, service, and clear-down of conference rooms, restaurants, bars, and event spaces
Serve food and beverages in a professional and hygienic manner
Support buffet, banqueting, and refreshment services for conferences and events
Ensure service areas are clean, well-stocked, and presented to a high standard
Events & Conference Support
Set up rooms according to event requirements (layouts, equipment, refreshments)
Work closely with the events and operations teams to ensure smooth event delivery
Respond to last-minute changes or guest requests efficiently
Health, Safety & Hygiene
Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and follow company procedures at all times
Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or incidents to management promptly
Teamwork & Flexibility
Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
Be flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
Support other areas of the business when needed
Skills & Experience
Essential
Positive attitude with a strong customer-focused approach
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and follow procedures
Desirable
Previous experience in hospitality, catering, events, or customer service
Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working in a conference or large venue environment
Personal Attributes

Able to work independently and as part of a team
