About the role:

As a Back of House Porter at Twickenham Stadium, you will play a key role in preparing and setting up all catering facilities. This includes tasks involving heavy lifting and moving items to ensure everything is ready for events. You will perform a wide range of general and department-specific duties to support the seamless operation of the venue, meeting all contractual requirements. A key part of your role is to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, adhering to Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations at all times. Your efforts will contribute directly to creating a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for both staff and visitors.

Duties:

  • Treat colleagues respectfully, support team spirit, and assist both permanent and temporary staff.
  • Attend training courses for personal and professional growth.
  • Work flexibly across units, respond to business needs, and represent the company professionally.
  • Maintain hygiene, grooming, uniform, and kitchen cleanliness to company standards.
  • Prepare food according to company specifications and assist with ISO documentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations and team in the absence of Senior Sous Chef, ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Ensure food is cooked, served safely, and efficiently, following health and safety standards.
  • Accept deliveries, monitor quality, minimize waste, and meet customer needs as requested.

  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all legal and company requirements for fire, safety, health, and hygiene, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Operational Efficiency: Respond to the pace of business, ensuring high standards in all areas, including linen distribution, equipment management, and cleanliness.
  • Service Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance service quality and operational efficiency through innovation and feedback.
  • Equipment Handling & Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and clean machinery safely; report faults or damage and ensure hired equipment is properly checked and accounted for.
  • Stock & Delivery Management: Accept, check, and store deliveries accurately, and perform regular stock counts in line with company timelines.
  • Workplace Cleanliness: Ensure all work areas are kept clean and waste is disposed of correctly, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout.
  • Safety Reporting & Best Practices: Promote safety habits, report accidents or near misses, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
