Job Introduction

As our Catering Operations Manager you will lead all elements of catering and to deliver the operational efficiency.  Planning, presentation and delivery of the food and beverage offer at Seagrave primarily for the 1st team, U23’s, U18’s and U16’s. Ensuring all standards are achieved and that we deliver best in class operation that continues to evolve operationally and technologically.

More about the role:

  • Primary Levy contact for the Seagrave site. Able to liaise effectively with senior stakeholders, contractors, and partners
  • Understand and support the ordering process and that delivery schedules are updated, and orders placed in time
  • Understand and analyze COS, Turnover and cost lines relating to an agreed client budget
  • Responsible for the non-matchday & matchday’s at Seagrave and making sure the catering areas in the facility are ready
  • Manage the rotas, stock and stock taking schedules, working collaboratively with the Head Chef
  • Liaising with the wider team to ensure at Seagrave that operations and requirements are fully covered
  • To manage and take ownership for all costs associated with the operations under your management with the guidance from the GM and working closely with the culinary lead
  • Actively monitor and improve the operating standards within the Concessions area including service, product lines and operational procedures
  • Actively make recommendations to the development of budgets and planning of future Capex/Opex
  • To recommend and develop new products that reflect the current trends or provide an opportunity to improve the site in communication with client, GM and Head Chef
  • To build, lead and manage an effective team with clear succession and development plans
  • Participate with recruitment, including interviewing. Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion

Who you are:

  • Experience of managing a high-level catering operation
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience in similar title and/or scope of responsibility
  • Experience in hospitality industry is advantageous
  • Experience in Medium to large size organization
  • Experience in a fast paced /high quality/growing company
  • A high level of influencing and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with team members and managing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent skill set (menu knowledge, technical organisation, time management)
  • Understanding of production planning and optimising resources correctly
  • Proven competence of using systems and / or technology to enhance the operation
  • Passionate about premium level food & beverage development and an eye for detail, nutritional knowledge beneficial
  • Self-motivated
  • Highly confident and positive
  • Proactive with a “can do” attitude

What we'll give:

Catering Operations Manager

  • £33,000 per annum, 40 hours per week
  • We are a 7-day operation and require cover throughout the whole week. 5 over 7 days - flexibility required
