Salary: £13.71 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, 9 Month Maternity Cover, 5 over 7 days, 40 hours per week

We’re looking for a proactive and motivated Catering Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of the catering operation at Create Bristol. The site is located in the city centre, so easily accessible. This is a hands-on role where you will work mostly independently to deliver excellent service, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure the operation runs smoothly during service periods.

In this role, you will actively supervise catering operations, ensuring that excellent service is delivered, maintain food quality, and follow all operational and health & safety procedures. You will lead by example, working alongside your team during service periods, and supporting the wider catering operations team in delivering a profitable and compliant operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the café team during service, providing hands-on leadership to deliver excellent customer experiences.
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences, ensuring service and product quality exceed expectations.
- Assist with training, coaching, and development of team members.
- Monitor stock, food quality, and operational processes, ensuring compliance with health & safety and food safety standards.
- Support the Café Manager in achieving financial and operational targets.
- Communicate effectively with the team, clients, and visitors to ensure smooth operations and high satisfaction.
- Assist with reporting, record-keeping, and daily operational tasks as required.
About You:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team-leading role within a café, retail catering, or public catering environment.
- Hands-on approach, comfortable working alongside the team during busy service periods.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and support team members to deliver excellent service.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, visitor-focused environment.
- Basic financial awareness and understanding of operational targets.
- Knowledge of health & safety and food safety standards.
- Experience in contract catering or managing high-volume visitor-led operations.
