We are looking at bringing onboard a talented individual to join us as one of our Contract Director, managing one of our largest and prestigious healthcare contract at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.

Addenbrookes is a part of Cambridge University Hospitals, which is one of the largest and best-known trusts in the country.

As the local hospital for the community they deliver care through Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals. They are also a leading national centre for specialist treatment, a government-designated comprehensive biomedical research centre, one of only six academic health science centres in the UK.

More about the role:

As our Contracts Director, you will have overall responsibility for the Addenbrookes contract – (this role also has responsibility for a small hospice (Arthur Rank) where we provide cleaning and RAF Lakenheath which is a hospital at an American military base).

This will include full budget control ensuring that the unit is meeting and then exceeding budget. Leadership and management of the team (You will have 9 direct reports). Ensuring compliance with all Compass policies and procedures; profit protection, health and safety, HR and finance.

You will be able to build strong relationships at all levels; client, direct reports, frontline teams, Unions and other Compass colleagues within the region.

Who you are:

Type of person we are looking for is positive, engaging, resilient, someone who is always looking for ways to improve and grow the service. Previous experience working at a senior management level managing hospital facilities would be a significant advantage.

You will also have:

  • Excellent understanding of Catering & Cleaning management, Service level Specification and performance management delivery.
  • Excellent financial, commercial, business knowledge and people acumen to support the operational team
  • Evidence of understanding and ability to lead complex and multiple services
  • Excellent people leadership skills, with evidence of the ability to engage and motivate people at all levels.
  • Excellent customer presentational ability, both verbal and written
