Location: Watchfield – Defence Academy
Salary: circa £67,000 negotiable depending on experience + Benefits
Revenue Accountability: Circa £12m PA
People Accountability: Circa 240

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leadership & Strategy – Inspire and manage a team of 7 direct reports and oversee a workforce of around 240 people.  Use strong people skills to foster a positive work environment and implement a strategy for profit growth.  
  • Financial & Contract Management – Utilise strong business acumen to enhance profit and identify opportunities.  Ensure all contractual terms are met while optimising profitability and achieving financial targets. 
  • Operational Excellence – Oversee service delivery, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
  • Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored catering and hospitality solutions.
  • Growth & Development – Identify opportunities to enhance and expand service offerings.
  • Continuous Improvement – Monitor KPIs and implement strategies for operational enhancements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven leader with senior management experience.
  • A results-driven professional with a strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience in managing catering and facilities management operations, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.  A flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to shifting business priorities.

Desirable Experience:

  • Soft services, particularly catering and hospitality.
  • Facilities management, including waste management.
  • FM accreditation (IWFM) or working towards certification.
