Job Introduction

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Costa Coffee Assistant Manager in Southmead Hospital to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in a major brand on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

As a Costa Coffee Assistant Manager, you’ll be brewing up a perfect blend of team camaraderie, customer smiles, and caffeine magic to create a buzzing coffee haven that's as vibrant as a latte art masterpiece!

In the role of an Assistant Manager within Costa Coffee, you'll be involved in orchestrating exceptional customer service delivery, and shouldering the responsibility for maintaining accurate stock levels and cash management on site.

As the assistant manager in Costa Coffee, we are looking for a reliable and dedicated support to the manager, overseeing daily operations, leading the team with enthusiasm, and ensuring a welcoming environment where both customers and staff can enjoy exceptional coffee experiences.

More about the role:

As a Costa Coffee Shop Assistant Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • To complete the opening and closing checklists and to ensure that everything on them has been done
  • To ensure that the front of house areas are clean, tidy and attractive during opening times
  • To produce weekly rotas following the manager’s guidelines
  • To place orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels
  • To ensure that all deliveries are checked and put away promptly and correctly
  • To ensure waste is kept to a minimum during beverage production
  • To delegate where necessary and ensure the team are pro-active at all times
  • To cash up at the end of a late shift and complete beverage stock takes when required
  • In the absence of the Manager assist in the completion of weekly bookwork and any other duties that are deemed necessary
  • Be pro-active at all times and use initiative, diplomacy and discretion to solve any problems that may arise

40 hours a week and paying up to £13.40 per hour/ £28000 per annum
