Digital Deployment Manager

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deployment manager to join our digital team in Compass Group UK&I. Reporting to the Lead Digital Deployment Manager and aligned to the sector Head of Specialist Projects. You will be responsible for all digital deployments across Business & Industry. You will be the lead advocate for our award-winning digital restaurant solutions. Bringing together app, POS, kiosks, AI tray scanning and many more features under our own Time2Eat brand.

You will work with some of the most prestigious client brands and locations across the UK. Engaging with senior stakeholders and cross sector operations teams, you will determine & advise on the best digital solutions that excite our customers driving efficiency & profitability.

As a “mobile worker” there is a requirement to visit B&I sites and office locations across the UK&I. You will also be expected to attend the office a minimum of one day per week. 
You will oversee, plan and lead multi-site mobilisations ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and deliver to actions and timescale. You will also work closely with our third-party providers to ensure all deployments are scalable, agile, and delivered at pace.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead SME on deployment of all Compass UK&I digital restaurant omni channel solutions and their capability, application, and usage across Business & Industry. 
  2. Work with sector leads, unit mobilisation and operation teams to problem solve and interpret business needs. Taking problem statements and working to deliver a digital solution that enhances the customer experience, delights our consumers and delivers both sales and performance.
  3. Identifies and recommends “best fit” digital solutions for the businesses operating model.
  4. Accountable for the delivery of all digital deployments in sector. Works with team to ensure all projects are delivered to plan. Works to manage and mitigate risk, ensuring all accountable stakeholders are aligned and communicated to.
  5. Acts as senior lead / PM on large or complex mobilisations. Works with senior stakeholders and leadership teams as required. Sets clear objectives for the business and ensures all responsibilities are understood and met.
  6. Responsible for the upkeep of all central mobilisation and roll out plans including central deployment schedules and project reporting tools. Supports Head of Deployment with reporting requirements.
  7. Develops and builds process enabling faster more agile deployments of our restaurant solutions. Actively contributes to the strategy helping to streamline timeline, process and overhead for unit teams and clients.
  8. Supports with the day-to-day management and upkeep of our electronic on-boarding portal. 
  9. Works closely with Product Managers to ensure all product enhancements, developments and updates are embedded across the existing estate and present in all new deployments.
  10. Acts as the gatekeeper and point of contact for sector working with Operations teams and support functions. Work with team to grow relationships, maintain, and establish regular touch points and oversee direct communication process. Attends sector operational meetings.
  11. Manages and builds relationships with third party suppliers to support and enable mobilisations. Plan installations, oversee costs and HSE. Ensure all key milestones are met and aligned to the deployment plan.
  12. Works closely with culinary & marketing teams to ensure our digital proposition excites our customers day in day out. 
  13. Advises on promotional opportunities and other product features that drives & maintains participation. Works closely with sectors to deploy tactics and tools that maintain interest and drives excitement.
  14. Collaborates with Sector Leads and other digital team members to promote the omni -channel products and features. Identifies and supports with any site with poor performance and low digital adoption. 
Experience required:

  • Track record mobilisations and stakeholder management at senior levels.
  • Proven operational mobilisation experience - hands on and ability to work dynamically.
  • Experience and track record in Digital Transformation Projects.
  • Experienced & enthusiastic in App or Digital Product development/ implementation.
  • Project management skills with desired experience & qualification. 
  • Good knowledge of MS Project and associated tools and processes.
  • Builds rapport and experience in leading a team to success. Must be a great team player.  
  • Inquisitive, actively contributes and participates – happy to take the lead and use initiative.
  • Strong presentation & interpersonal skills.
