Event Chef De Partie - Guinness Open Gate Brewery

Job Introduction

We are Company of Cooks, and we believe brilliant food and drink starts with brilliant people. For over 25 years, we’ve been part of some of the UK’s most loved cultural destinations, from historic palaces and botanical gardens to buzzing galleries and performance spaces, running the cafés, restaurants, bars and events that bring these incredible places to life.

Our values - Craft, Creativity and Community - guide everything we do. They shape how we work together, how we support our partners, and how we make each guest feel welcome. If you care about food, people and doing things properly, you’ll feel right at home here.

Wherever we are, we do more than serve. We bring places to life through food, service and creativity, and we’re looking for an Event Chef de Partie to join our team in London

Location: London

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum

Working Pattern: 5 over 7 days, 40 hours per week, Client-led scheduling - Earliest: ~6:00–7:00 (breakfast events) / Latest: ~23:30–00:00 finish

About This Role

This is a premium, multi-site operation delivering restaurant dining, private dining and large-scale events.

Events range from 25-cover private dining to 400-guest standing receptions, including bowl food, finger food and seated dinners for 100–200 guests.

As an Event CDP, you will play a key role in preparing and delivering high-quality food across a wide variety of event styles. This is not a traditional restaurant-only role. You will work across breakfast meetings, corporate lunches, private dining, bowl food receptions and large-scale standing events.

During quieter periods, you will support the main kitchens on site, ensuring consistency, standards and teamwork across the business.

You will also support the delivery of the Private Dining Room (25 covers), producing both restaurant and event menus as part of the events remit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver food for events of varying scale and format
  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chefs with event execution
  • Produce high-quality bowl food, finger food and plated dishes
  • Ensure smooth preparation, service and breakdown of events
  • Support breakfast and daytime corporate events when required
  • Maintain excellent standards of hygiene, food safety and allergen awareness
  • Assist with stock rotation, portion control and waste reduction
  • Work flexibly across different kitchens during quieter periods

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Chef de Partie in a premium or high-volume environment
  • Experience in events, hotels or multi-outlet kitchens (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong organisation and prep skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing event requirements
  • Comfortable with flexible schedules and client-led operations
  • A team player with a positive, professional attitude
  • Passion for quality and consistency
  • This role would suit either an experienced events CDP or a strong restaurant CDP looking to transition into events.
