Executive Head Chef

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Executive Head Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Compass Group Ireland on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday tot Friday, daytime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Strategically plan, organise, and oversee all aspects of fine dining food production, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Take a hands-on role in menu execution while maintaining overall oversight of kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with the executive and operations teams to exceed client expectations and deliver premium dining experiences.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards (HACCP, COSHH, HS).
  • Drive menu development and innovation, leveraging seasonal, premium, and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, cost control, and procurement to maximise efficiency and profitability.
  • Champion staff development, including training, mentoring, and succession planning for the culinary brigade.
  • Continuously evaluate kitchen processes, introducing operational improvements and efficiencies.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Head or Executive Chef in a fine dining, luxury, or high-end hospitality environment.
  • Formal culinary qualification with expertise in gourmet or premium cuisine.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire.
  • Strong strategic mindset with experience in menu development, operational planning, and kitchen management.
  • In-depth understanding of food cost, GP, stock control, and kitchen financial performance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
  • Passionate about premium-quality food, culinary innovation, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
