Here at Compass Group UK & Ireland we are currently on the lookout for a newly qualified Finance Manager to join our Foodbuy finance team. Acting as the key finance interface between Foodbuy and our main distributor you will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and strong relationship management skills.

More about the role:

Reporting in to the Income & Control Finance Manager you will be responsible for managing the pricing structure of all products purchased and distributed by Compass, including cost prices, mark up sand distributor rebates. You will work closely with your counterpart at our key distributor to ensure payments are correct and in line with the terms set out within the contractual agreements. In addition, you will maintain control and understanding of all balances on the balance sheet relating to Compass Distributors and you will manage all reporting, budgeting, planning and analysis of Distributor routes to market. Managing a Finance Assistant, you will adopt a coaching and mentoring leadership style and delegate work accordingly.

Who you are:

As a newly qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) finance professional you will have demonstrable experience in a finance role within industry in a fast-paced, commercial and complex organisation. With high numeric and analytical skills, you will have a good understanding and experience of double entry, accruals and prepayments and you will understand the implications on renegotiating costs and reporting standards. Relationship management is key for this role, you will have demonstrable experience of liaising with all levels of employees and internal and external stakeholder management. As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable leading and coaching a finance assistant.
