Food and Beverage Logistics Manager

Job Introduction

Reporting to the Head of Beverage Operations and working as part of the SEC Food Operations team, our Food and Beverage Logistics Manager is a key role in the success of the planning, structure and delivery of our F&B product within the SEC Campus.

You will lead a team of variable staff, control all beverage stocks, deliver to budgeted margins and targeted stock holdings. You will be responsible for planning, organizing and analysing all beverage stock control (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to ensure maximum efficiency is also a key part of the role.

You will attend regular meetings with department heads including, but not limited to, the Hydro Live Events Hospitality Manager, Conference, Exhibition and Cydebuilt Managers and will ensure operational needs are adhered to, natural adjustments made, and targets are met/exceeded.

More about the role:

  • Ensure all deliveries are signed in and checked (quality and amounts)
  • Manage all aspects of event preparation, managing event forecasts and needs based on historical data
  • Personally inspects products and services to ensure quality standards are met
  • Ensure all stock is stored correctly in the relevant areas, taking care of stock rotation to make sure no items are going out of date
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on necessary equipment and services to ensure the highest possible standards whist effectively controlling costs
  • Actively monitor and improve the operating standards within the back of house area including service, product lines and operational procedures
  • Work with the Head of Beverage Operations to plan and maintain an ordering scheduling based on event schedule
  • Ensure all stock takes are completed to deadlines
  • Minimise operating costs by using all equipment and products in accordance with company requirements
  • Ensure all areas of the beverage operations have the optimum level of product and stock across the varying needs of the campus outlets
  • Liaise with key operational departments to discuss stock levels and ensure smooth and efficient delivery of stock and equipment around the arena for event days
  • Input par levels to all stock locations and ensure these are mirrored accurately in EATEC
  • Ensure minimum stock levels in the building on dark days and during dark stretches

Who you are:

  • Experience of stock or supply chain management
  • Line management and clear leadership skills with the ability to communicate in a proactive and positive manner and build team relationships
  • Professional presentation and conduct, to be able to interact with customers, clients and peers alike
  • Forklift License and experience
  • Wine & Spirit knowledge along with local and UK trend/market knowledge
