Job Introduction

Foodservice Dietitian

  • Provide ongoing technical dietetic support to catering, and operational teams and clients.
  • Visit sites to meet with the relevant operational teams, client teams and client dietitians where appropriate
  • Support new contract start-ups and mobilisation.
  • Produce special dietary operational policies and develop special diet menus and protocols where required
  • Assist in the development and implementation of mealtime initiatives such as Protected Mealtimes
  • Provide nutritional analysis and coding of menus and recipes and other nutritional information as required such as allergen and dietary suitability
  • Audit meal services for Compass teams and clients and gather feedback on food quality and overall accuracy of standard meals as well as therapeutic diets and snacks. Produce reports and recommend changes where appropriate
  • Participate in menu and recipe review/development with the operational leads and relevant individuals within allocated budgetary constraints as required, ensuring suitability for all client groups
  • Work with operational leads to develop and master recipes using recipe database software and propose recipe changes required to meet nutritional requirements, and run nutritional data reports where required

Who you are:

  • At least two years’ experience as a clinical dietitian working in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in a foodservice/catering environment
  • Knowledge of or experience in private healthcare and senior living
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Menu planning and menu analysis
  • Teaching and presentation skills
  • Project management
  • Computer generated nutritional analysis
  • Conversant with Excel, Word and Outlook

What we'll give:

  • £38,500 per Annum
  • 40 hours per week
  • Based in the south of England but will need to be mobile
