What you'll be doing:

As a General Retail Director  within our Retail team at Addenbrookes Hospital you will be required to engage, develop, lead and motivate the team. This position requires a contract director who is visible and will know the business from top to bottom with the appropriate skills to deliver profitable retail outlets.

To excel in the areas of operational excellence, financial performance and customer / client satisfaction to achieve company and client objectives within all Company policies, procedures and guidelines.

  • Understand and deliver all contractual terms
  • Promote the unit and act as a Compass Advocate at all times
  • Analyse and manage effectively all in unit costs
  • Ensure each retail unit has the correct labour model
  • Ensure budgets are understood and achieved
  • Ensure all costs are managed effectively within budget
  • Team are engaged, trained, coached and developed
  • Team are fully aware of their roles in achieving company targets

We are looking for a General Retail Director –  with the following essential skills:

  • Proven experience of strong stakeholder management
  • Single site operational experience in a similar role
  • Branded retail / foodservice or similar background
  • Previous budget management and/or profit & loss responsibility
  • Track record of growing sales and retaining business
  • Can demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness
  • Degree qualified
  • Project / Change management experience
  • Good record of people development
