General Manager – Catering Operations
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Contract: Full Time | Monday to Friday

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused General Manager to lead catering operations across a large workplace campus. This is a high‑profile role overseeing a diverse, multi‑outlet food and beverage offer, including a staff restaurant, street food bistro, coffee shop, as well as multiple self‑serve coffee machines and vending operations across the site.

This role is ideal for a confident leader with a strong background in campus or multi‑outlet catering, a passion for client engagement, and a proven ability to drive performance, innovation, and growth.


About the Role

As General Manager, you will have full accountability for operational performance, financial results, and client relationships across the campus. You will play a key role in shaping the future food offer, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring services consistently exceed expectations.

You will lead and develop on‑site management and operational teams, ensuring service excellence, commercial discipline, and operational effectiveness across all outlets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Overall leadership and accountability for multi‑outlet catering operations across the campus
  • Oversight of staff restaurant, street food bistro, coffee shop, vending, and coffee machines
  • Act as the primary client contact, building strong, trusted, and collaborative relationships
  • Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and commercial performance
  • Drive operational effectiveness, service consistency, and high food and customer experience standards
  • Identify and support future growth opportunities, innovation, and service development
  • Lead, motivate, and develop management and frontline teams
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and company standards
  • Deliver agreed KPIs, SLAs, and contractual objectives
  • Manage staffing structures, recruitment, training, and succession planning

About You

  • Proven experience managing multi‑outlet catering operations, ideally across a campus or large workplace environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable full P&L responsibility
  • Confident, professional, and credible client‑facing leader
  • Experience leading and developing large, diverse catering teams
  • Passionate about food, service quality, and continuous improvement
  • Highly organised with the ability to balance operational detail and strategic thinking
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
