The Role

The role of Global Account Director (GAD) is a role within the Global Client Partnerships team. This financial services client is a key client within the team operating across 18 countries, 70 locations and with over 1000 dedicated team members. 

Reporting directly to the Global Client Partnerships Director, the GAD will take direct ownership of the global account and, through the effective leadership of a team of Regional Account leads and SMEs, be responsible for the delivery, growth and retention of the Global Account.

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Growth & Retention: Through recognising, pursuing and securing opportunities for business growth within the existing portfolio. Being able to engage in strategic discussion.
  • Leadership: By leading, motivating and developing the regional account management team and our SMEs to work cohesively at a global level.  Taking the team on a journey with you.
  • Partnerships: Forging truly vested partnerships at global and regional level with all Compass, integrator partners and client partners to unite for continuous improvement.  Flexing style to suit different audiences.
  • Synergy: Working and developing synergy with the Compass regional and country operational teams to ensure alignments with the global and regional business and a “One-Compass” approach.
  • Insights: Acting as a champion for the sector by offering thought-leadership and insights on the industry and market.

Who you are:

Required Experience

In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for applicants who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience within Strategic Account Management Leadership, with a track record of overseeing strong development in terms of size and scale on an Account or across a portfolio of business.
  • Experience of managing business or relationships across multiple geographies in a stakeholder matrixed environment. 
  • The knowledge and experience to run global food services, gained ideally within the business services sector.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at C-Suite level across a wide variety of locations and cultures.
  • An appreciation, if not an understanding gained through experience, of effectively leading teams across a global scale.               
  • A depth of understanding and focus on their specific subject but with the curiosity and hunger to think laterally for the benefit of the business.
