Goods In & Stock Control Manager

We are looking for a Goods In & Stock Control Manager to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis and play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of stock, inventory, and supply chain operations.

As a Goods In & Stock Control Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient, accurate, and compliant management of goods-in, stock control, inventory management, and ordering activities across our operation. You will work collaboratively with production, consolidation, and logistics teams to ensure stock accuracy, product availability, regulatory compliance, and seamless operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all goods-in activities, ensuring deliveries are received, inspected, recorded, and stored in line with food safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock control processes, ensuring high levels of stock accuracy and traceability.
  • Manage stock ordering and replenishment to support production requirements while minimising waste and stock holding costs. 
  • Implement and monitor FIFO and FEFO stock rotation procedures across all inventory categories.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to improve stock accuracy.
  • Build strong working relationships with production, consolidation, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, HACCP, and company policies at all times. 
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and stock control teams, driving a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

About You:

  • Previous management experience within food manufacturing, foodservice, warehousing, logistics, or FMCG environments.
  • Strong understanding of stock management, inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain processes.
  • Working knowledge of ERP, WMS, and stock management systems, with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Good understanding of HACCP, food safety, traceability requirements, and stock rotation principles.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying trends and implementing effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
