Overall Purpose of the Role
To enhance the customer experience and reputation of The Venues Collection by effectively managing the Estates Team, Equipment, Resources and Third-Party Suppliers to ensure that Estates Operations are conducted in accordance with all Statutory Requirements, Company Policies and Health & Safety Procedures.

Group Estates Manager - The Role
- To promote a safety culture and ensure the Estates Team and Third-Party Contractors are aware of and operate in accordance with Company Safety & Environmental Procedures at all times.
- To ensure the delivery and quality of Estates Operations, are conducted in line with Company Policies, Procedures and External Accreditations e.g. ISOQAR, NICEIC, REFCOM, GasSafe.
- To develop the competencies within the Estates Team to increase the ability of the Team to Self-Deliver Maintenance and Repair Operations. Each venue to have a preventative maintenance plan in place.
- To develop the Estates Team Procedures, Processes and Documentation and to improve the efficiency of the team and improve reporting, record keeping and safety performance.
- To develop an Estates Documentation Library to ensure inspection, maintenance and repair records are readily available for verification and audit purposes.
- To Manage the Estates Team and Third-Party Contractors to ensure Estates Team Operations are performed to a consistent high quality across the Venues Collection.
- To ensure all inspection, maintenance and repair operations are completed and reports submitted within the stipulated time scales.
- To ensure asset lists and maintenance plans for the Venues Collection are kept up to date and reviewed to ensure maintenance of assets is done efficiently.
- To manage & analyse the CAFM/PPM system data to optimise the efficiency of the FM operation.
- To produce a monthly report to the Managing Director outlining performance of the Estates Team and Third-Party Contractors.
- To ensure that all accidents and incidents are correctly reported and recorded on AIR3 in a timely manner.
- To ensure the Estates Team Operations continually improves in all areas of the operation – Quality, Cost, Delivery & Safety.
- To work flexibly and attend management and site meetings, training courses & networking events as required.
- To manage the condition and security of any site and assets that are no longer trading.
- To comply with any reasonable requests made by your Line Manager.
- To assist with the capital expenditure programme when required.
- To champion CSR for The Venue Collection and support sites where needed.
What we're looking for
- An enthusiastic individual with a drive & passion for leading within a Hard Services environment.
- Full time served City and Guilds Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship.
- Good technical understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems including PPM, Reactive Maintenance and Fault Rectification.
- Able to assist the Estates Team with a hands-on approach when required.
- An outstanding communicator, able to liaise confidently with colleagues and lead, engage & develop team members.
- Knowledge & experience of developing and implementing results orientated Hard Services strategies.
- Experience of working within and supervising a Workplace Safety Management System.
- Hold NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Technical Member of IOSH (TechIOSH)
- Good numeracy skills with the ability to analyse & interpret Management data.
- Able to work flexibly in line with business requirements including attending off site meetings and internal and external networking events as appropriate.
- Use a range of communication skills and techniques to promote collaboration, build relationships and act tenaciously in challenging situations to achieve agreeable outcomes.
- Manage change and improvement to support the contracts and the wider business and promote the sharing of ideas and best practice across the portfolio.
- Monitor and optimise Estates Team performance with the resilience and flexibility to work at pace and adapt to change quickly to business needs.
- Project and Life Cycle Management experience
- NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety or willing to work towards
- Experience of Project tendering and qualified to Prince 2 or equivalent standard.
- Financially astute and experienced in managing budgets.
- Knowledge & experience of delivering year on year improvements in service delivery.
- Experienced in the management of H&S systems.
- Hold evidence of outstanding achievement in an ‘Asset Management/Safety Critical’ environment.
- Manage the delivery of an outstanding service, retain clients and consumers and develop new business.
- Develop medium term plans for a specific team, within the close parameters of the Venues Collection strategy.
