Job Introduction
Head Chef / London / Monday to Friday / 7:00am to 3:30pm
We are seeking an experienced and confident Head Chef to lead an exciting operation in London. This role is responsible for delivering a high-quality breakfast and lunch offer, alongside a café bar featuring purchased cakes and sandwiches, and hospitality catering for internal meetings and events.
As Head Chef, you will take full ownership of daily culinary operations, guiding a small and dedicated kitchen team to consistently achieve exceptional standards in food quality, attention to detail, and service execution. We are looking for a professional who brings creativity, commercial awareness, and a strong leadership style.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all kitchen operations, including breakfast, lunch, café bar and hospitality
- Plan and deliver seasonal menus focused on freshness, quality and value
- Maintain excellent food presentation and a consistently high standard of service
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety and allergen controls
- Manage ordering, stock control, waste and cost performance effectively
- Coach and develop team members, promoting a positive and collaborative culture
- Work closely with front-of-house colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader within contract or workplace catering
- Excellent communication, organisational and people-management skills
- Energetic, hands-on approach with a strong eye for detail
- Passionate about delivering fresh, innovative food and enhancing the guest experience
