Head of Operations – Hospitality & Catering
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a high-volume hospitality and catering operation within a modern workplace.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused hospitality professional to take ownership of a large-scale operation, driving service excellence, financial performance and team development. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver an exceptional hospitality experience across a busy and diverse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a large, multi-faceted hospitality and catering operation.
- Lead and develop a team of direct reports.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to drive business performance, service standards and culinary excellence.
- Take ownership of financial reporting, budgets, cost control and overall commercial performance.
- Collaborate with other General Managers and senior operational leadership to share best practice and achieve business objectives.
- Deliver exceptional client service, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Oversee high-volume hospitality services and premium events, ensuring consistently high standards of delivery.
- Attend a minimum of one evening event per week, supporting the delivery of high-calibre hospitality experiences.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, develop teams and drive revenue growth.
We are looking for a confident, hands-on operational leader with a strong background in high-volume hospitality, contract catering or large-scale commercial catering environments.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience managing a large, complex hospitality or catering operation, with the scale and pace of a major corporate site, stadium or similarly high-volume venue.
- A proven track record in financial management, including budgets, cost control, reporting and commercial performance.
- Experience leading multiple teams and managing senior direct reports.
- A strong understanding of both front-of-house hospitality and food service operations.
- Experience delivering premium hospitality and high-profile events within a busy, demanding environment.
- The ability to build strong client relationships and work effectively with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach, with the ability to balance operational excellence with outstanding customer service.
- Candidates currently operating as a Deputy General Manager, Senior Operations Manager or General Manager within a large-scale hospitality or contract catering environment are encouraged to apply.
