Job Introduction

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and committed Head of Hospitality to join our team at Brunel University to lead and plan the Hospitality Catering Services across our university campuses located on the outskirts of Uxbridge, London.

You will work in partnership with the universities Commercial Conference Department to produce world class hospitality events for both our internal and external clients.

More about the role:

This role would suit an individual who has previous worked within a large scale hotel, conference or banqueting setting, who can drive standards and lead from the front.

You will be a commercially minded individual who thrives on delivering the very best, providing value for money and someone who looks for future opportunities to grow the business and hospitality offering.

This role will enable you and you team to deliver hospitality for internal events and meetings, external hospitality for 3rd party clients and successfully run our summer school offering.

You will report directly into the Partnership Director and have up to 10 direct reports, during busier times and large events your direct reports will fluctuate.

As the Head of Hospitality you will play a pivotal role in motivating and leading your team to deliver exceptional results. You work closely with Brunel University building strong relationships and become a true partner who has the ability to build upon our hospitality offering from regular feedback sessions and really understanding our clients. Working closely with your team you will create new processes and ways of working to make sure we are enhancing our service and quality.

Who you are:

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of working within the events and hospitality department, who has managed large teams and large functions.
  • You will be someone who is able to deliver and contribute to the strategic plans and make a significant contribution to the business plan for the Hospitality Department.
  • Ability to produce monthly and yearly reports against commercial targets.
  • Experience of partnering and influencing senior stakeholders as well as excellent people management and communication skills.

What we'll give:

Paying up to £45,000 dependent on experience
