Reporting into the Marketing Director, as the Head of PR, you will be responsible for leading the positive reputation of KERB through the wider media and influencer network.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting bigger marketing spikes and identify and create standalone PR spikes for the business
  • Running an ongoing proactive and reactive press office and ensuring crisis comms and supporting documents are current, alongside new systems to manage effectively
  • Running a 24/7 media support line with OOH crisis cover
  • Supporting new openings and managing / working with PR external support globally
  • Building a on-going strong relationship with media and influencers
  • Identifying and organising / delivering training with staff where required
  • Working with the Marketing Director to set individual and team KPIs
  • Contribute and develop to best-of-practice PR processes
  • Working with the Marketing Director to craft strategies for all Marketing teams, across all channels
  • Managing annual budgets and plan accordingly
  • Participating in the quarterly and annual planning of company objectives
  • Generating Trade and consumer news (both proactive and reactive)
  • Award entries and associated announcements
  • Sharing live speaker opportunities for the wider team
  • Making Trader announcements
  • White paper / opinion led creation
  • Profiling SMT and wider team / traders (as appropriate)
  • Events for media and influencers (including filming / photo location opportunities)

What you’ll bring to KERB

  • 5+ years experience of agency or in-house PR management (ideally within the wider hospitality sector)
  • A self-starter mindset, with the ability to manage projects from start to finish
  • Experience running successful PR campaigns that have a 360 degree focus within the wider marketing mix
  • A solid understanding of traditional consumer, business and trade media and social media influencers with extensive
  • Strong written communication skills, that can extend to wider copywriting
  • Confidence in the negotiation of wider brand sponsorship and partnership activity
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to confidently prepare material and present to board level
  • Ability to set up and establish proper process and implement efficient ways of working
  • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
  • Ideally basic design skills, using templates via Canva / Figma / Photoshop
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to manage a growing team and third party agency support
  • Global experience a must
