5 days over 7 (Monday–Saturday)
£40,000 per annum


About the Role

Eurest are looking for an experienced and energetic Hospitality & Events Operations Manager to lead and develop the hospitality offer at Harwell Campus, one of the UK’s most exciting science and innovation hubs.

This role has specific accountability for DiSH – the campus street food market, as well as campus events and delivered catering. You will ensure every hospitality experience is operationally excellent, commercially successful and aligned with the expectations of a world-class campus environment.

Key Responsibilities

Hospitality & Events Operations

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of DiSH, ensuring a vibrant, safe and commercially successful street food environment.

  • Oversee the planning and delivery of campus events, pop-ups, activations and private hospitality.

  • Manage delivered catering from enquiry through to execution, ensuring seamless service and consistent quality.

  • Act as the senior operational point of contact for hospitality activity during peak trading periods and events.

Commercial & Financial Performance

  • Deliver agreed sales, margin and contribution targets across DiSH and events.

  • Maximise revenue through effective scheduling, space utilisation, offer development and upselling.

  • Monitor costs, labour deployment and stock controls.

  • Support forecasting, reporting and commercial insight.

Team Leadership & Capability

  • Lead, motivate and develop hospitality and events teams.

  • Ensure effective rota planning aligned to trading patterns and events.

  • Foster a strong service culture focused on ownership, pace and accountability.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong working relationships with campus stakeholders and event organisers.

  • Represent the hospitality operation professionally at meetings and events.

  • Respond proactively to feedback and drive continuous improvement.

Standards, Compliance & Brand

  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food safety and licensing standards.

  • Maintain brand standards across DiSH, events and delivered catering.

  • Support audits, inspections and internal reviews.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in hospitality, events or multi-offer food operations

  • Strong operational and commercial understanding

  • Experience leading teams in fast-paced environments

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required

Desirable

  • Experience in street food or multi-vendor environments

  • Background in contract catering or campus hospitality

  • Experience delivering large-scale events

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
