Hospitality & Events Team Leader

Job Introduction

As a Hospitality & Events Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding hospitality and event experiences for our clients and guests. You will lead by example on the floor, supporting the daily operation and ensuring every event runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Working closely with your team and the wider business, you will help create a culture of excellence, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.

This is a full time, permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, daytime and evenings and occasional weekends. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide range of hospitality services and events, including fine dining dinners, receptions, buffets, and corporate functions.
  • Lead and motivate the hospitality and events team to deliver first-class service and create memorable guest experiences.
  • Act as the main point of contact during events, ensuring smooth communication between kitchen, service, and client teams.
  • Maintain high operational standards across all hospitality areas, ensuring setups, service, and close-downs are delivered flawlessly.
  • Assist with staff training, development, and scheduling to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • Support budget management by monitoring stock levels, reducing waste, and promoting cost-effective practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety, food safety, and company policies at all times.
  • Champion sustainability and Net Zero goals through responsible practices and waste reduction initiatives.

About You:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, event operations, or corporate catering, ideally in a high-volume or premium environment.
  • Confident team leader with strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop team members to achieve excellence.
  • Good understanding of health & safety and food safety standards.
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Supervisory or leadership qualification (desirable but not essential).
