We are now looking to hire a HR business partner for our central functions. You will be responsible for driving the People MAP (Management and Performance Reporting) strategy mainly focused on the biggest, most complex and highest risk contracts. You will drive performance in key contracts within a geographical area through our people and engage our in-unit teams and implement HR strategy.

More about the role:

  • Translate Compass Group’s HR strategy and implement into the business in specified geography
  • Share knowledge of people tools, frameworks and initiatives to ensure awareness of these in the business
  • Where local agreements exist in your contracts, ensure effective pay negotiations are delivered
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with employee representatives and trade union officers at national and regional level
  • Use specialist expertise and experience to ensure business fulfils its responsibilities under employment law
  • Put in place training and development plans to deliver solutions and interventions that develop skills at all levels within geographical area and deliver the requirements of the manpower plan
  • Ensure effective execution of skills development frameworks, Academy and qualifications framework
  • Identify talent in local cluster, manage their development and facilitate moves within that geography. Rolling out the plan personal development plan
  • Ownership of succession planning for key employees within geographical area and ensure this is shared across all sectors
  • Ensure new Unit Managers are fully inducted into business
  • Complete ongoing People MAP (Management and Performance Reporting) “Health-checks”. Identify opportunities and create ongoing plans for your identified contracts and units
  • Track on-going “People Measures”, identify opportunities and track performance
  • Complete specific MAP 4 (Management and Performance Reporting) in-unit labour reviews, plans and strategies for your identified contracts and units – including organisational design and management structures
  • Support the mobilisation and initial People MAP (Management and Performance Reporting) plans for all new mobilisations over £2m
  • Tactical HR support delivered on a regional basis as required
  • Support sales presentations and contract negotiations for new business ensuring maximum return and management of Company risk
  • Undertake project work to support the development of HR practices and processes as park of delivery of UK & Ireland HR strategy
