Overall Purpose of the Role
To create “The Levy Difference” with food production and service that exceeds the guests’ expectations through effective management
To provide strong supervision while delivering and managing the kitchen operation, whilst controlling procedures and costs
Ensure the smooth planning and delivery of a first-class catering product to our clients and customers, ensuring that performance standards are achieved through the use of Levy Signatures guidelines
To demonstrate full alignment to our Levy UK vision and values by creating and living the Levy difference through delivering Legendary Experiences and Powerful Partnerships
Key Accountabilities
Operations
Acknowledge and act upon individual customer needs whilst observing service standards
Deal with all customer comments in a positive manner and take appropriate follow up action where required
Recognize potential complaint situations and take effective steps to avoid and/or resolve these situations
Have knowledge of catering products and be able to advise the customer in a professional and helpful manner
Share best practice across units and strive in the achievement of total customer satisfaction
Feedback to Head Chef
Monitor guest satisfaction results within your area of responsibility
Culinary
Deliver consistently against agreed standards
Establish and maintain quality and presentation standards for all menu content
Utilize Foodbuy procurement system for ordering and receiving of products and stock control
Take a structured approach to the management of the food production and service
Demonstrate innovation in all areas of our operation
Take pride in your business and share agreed standards with other venues
People
Assist in the running of the food offer for all areas
Be responsible for managing a large and diverse team of variable hourly chefs and kitchen porters
Actively communicate with team members to build positive team morale and actively offer support and guidance as necessary
Assist the Head chef with managing the performance of the casual workforce and culinary team
Help any new individuals to settle in and carry out required training as necessary and in conjunction with the team
Reduction in labour turnover and increase in team engagement, measured by number of staff cancellations / no shows, as well as increased levels of staff retention
Health and Safety
Maintain compliance and lead a health & safety culture
Work with the onsite HSE champion to ensure that Silver and Gold HSE standards are delivered and maintained in your area of business
Personally, demonstrate that you take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of others
Report promptly any food hazards to the Head Chef or Health & Safety Coordinator
Ensure that the Company Health & Safety and Food Safety Policies are adhered to at all times within their own area of control
Achievement of Silver and Gold HSE standards
Compliance with all Working Safely training
Where applicable produce a unit risk assessment in relation to food production and demonstrate traceability of staff training
Ensure all potential hazards reported promptly to the Head Chef
Assist Head Chef with Natasha’s Law compliance, allergen documentation and reporting for both match day and non-match day business
Client
Actively maintain day-to-day contact with key client contacts to establish strong working relationships
Interact effectively across a diverse client base both direct and third party, managing relationships and liaise with representatives
Support the Head Chef to meet the needs of clients and deliver a first-class catering offer to clients and guests
Support in the production of culinary updates for General Manager and / or client
Positive feedback from clients
