About the role:

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. In this vital role, you’ll oversee everything from food preparation and safety standards to stock control, ordering, invoicing, and food cost management. You’ll work closely with our talented culinary team to ensure every dish meets our high standards for quality and consistency, while also driving efficiency and maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment. Duties:

  • Menu & Product Development: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to design and update menus, ensuring alignment with venue themes, guest expectations, allergen standards, and sustainability goals (e.g., carbon labelling).
  • Food Quality & Consistency: Develop and maintain food specifications, portion sizes, and presentation standards in line with Levy Signatures. Participate in food photography and documentation.
  • Procurement & Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and manage purchasing through approved suppliers to meet demand while ensuring quality and minimizing waste.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor food and labour costs, analyse financial performance, and implement strategies to maximise profitability and resource efficiency.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and explore cost-effective sourcing while ensuring consistent quality.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising kitchen staff while fostering skill development and maintaining high performance.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and legal regulations; conduct regular inspections and enforce proper kitchen practices.
  • Cross-Departmental Communication: Coordinate effectively with front-of-house, facilities, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest experiences.

Who you are:

  • Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred; Food Safety Certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in kitchen management, with strong knowledge of health, safety, and food standards.
  • Proven skills in menu development, food preparation, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Strong leadership with experience managing diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management abilities.
  • Creative, solutions-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality culinary experiences.
  • Professional, adaptable, and ethical with a collaborative, team-first mindset.
  • Financially literate and confident leading change and continuous improvement initiatives.
