Kitchen Porter

We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team and play an important role in keeping the kitchen clean, safe and running smoothly.
The Role
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. While the role is primarily Monday to Friday, some flexibility will be required to support occasional events and changing business needs.
Working alongside our chefs and wider kitchen team, you’ll help maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation, ensuring everyone has a safe and efficient environment to work in.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Washing, cleaning and storing kitchen equipment, crockery, cutlery and utensils.
- Keeping kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces and storage areas clean and tidy.
- Removing rubbish and recycling in line with site procedures.
- Assisting with deliveries, stock rotation and general kitchen organisation.
- Completing and recording cleaning schedules.
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation when required.
- Following all Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH procedures.
- Helping to maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment at all times.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t necessarily need previous kitchen experience - a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about cleanliness and high hygiene standards.
- A great team player with a positive attitude.
- Willing to learn and take on new tasks.
- Flexible and happy to support occasional events or changes in business requirements when needed.
- Experienced in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable, but not essential.
