Our NPD Manager will be developing and leading the strategy for the culinary range produced on site. Ensuring that the critical path is monitored and maintained at all stages, from conception of ideas right through to delivery, the NPD Manager steers and shapes the critical path to ensure that the best products are being produced for NHS and Private Healthcare, Education, and Staff and Visitor Restaurants.

Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and coordinate the launch process from concept to launch for multiple ranges and products, across both St Albans and St Helens Sites
- Lead, manage and motivate the NPD department, to achieve launches in line with customer requirements
- Manage continuous improvement plan across all ranges
- Manage and communicate with multiple key stakeholders – internally and externally
- Engage with ingredient suppliers regularly, ensure products are to specification requirements
- Work with NPD Technologist to ensure product nutrition and specification are accurate and up to date.
- Manage new product costings
- Manage and control of internal & external specifications
- Product manipulation to ensure all products meet our client’s nutrition requirements
- Presentations of products to clients and wider Compass Business
- Communicate company / departmental information to the Steamplicity Team and others to enable information to be cascaded and briefed effectively in a timely manner, promoting a two-way communication process.
- Identify new trends within the food industry
- Help drive foodie culture within Cuisine Centre team
Who you are:
It’s important that we get our talent right, we are seeking passionate, driven and dedicated individuals to join our team. The NPD Manager will have the following;
- Min 4 years’ experience in Food Industry
- Food Science / Technology /Nutrition Degree or equivalent
- Thorough understanding of Nutrition
- Proven successful management of an NPD department
- Food manufacturing safety & hygiene legislation
- Knowledge and experience of Good Manufacturing Practice
- Experience in chilled prepared meals manufacturing desirable

What we'll give:
NPD Manager reports to Head of NPD - St Helens Cuisine Centre
£40000 per annum/ 40 hours per week
Fixed term contract - Maternity Cover 18 months
