As a Night Shift Supervisor, you will be at the heart of our operation. You will be team focused with high standards! You will be a key member of the team to deliver world class food & service for our schools. You will set the standard and guide your team daily.
This is a full-time night role, working 40 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday and will only be required to work in line with the academic calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and actioning improvements to the production process in consultation with other leaders within the business by reviewing and analysing trends and proactively reporting results and actions.
- Responsible for planning people & processes within your shift
- Supervising, managing, training & development of staff
- Working with the Quality Department to ensure that highest standards are maintained for pest control, temperature control of product and the environmental temperatures.
- Lead daily toolbox talks to highlight any strengths, weaknesses, obstructions, or threats that may impact production schedule.
- Ensure all accidents or near misses are dealt with swiftly and reported on the day they occur.
- Ensure that noise issues in the yard areas are monitored and kept to a minimum
- Be aware of and report daily on drivers compliance to dispatch schedules and other requirements of their service.
- Ensure cleaning schedules are completed internally and externally for areas controlled by Glanmore Lusk.
- Ensure any facilities or maintenance issues are included in daily reports and if necessary make contact with contractors for support.
- Ensure all product is dispatched
- Ensure meal container reconciliation is carried out daily and that containers are segregated, palletised and made ready for return to Glanmore Ballycoolin.
- Carry out stock taking duties as required by stock taking procedure and become familiar with the stock management system.
- Ensure that any raw material picking required is completed, and that the pick is in the staging area ready for return to Glanmore Ballycoolin.
- Send a nightly report before shift end, on all of the above issues and any other that arise during the shift.
- Facilitate a shift handover between day and night shift teams to ensure that communication takes place effectively.
About You:
- Must have at least 3 years food production or warehousing experience in a chilled supply chain environment.
- Minimum of 2 Years people management & staff supervision experience
- Good understanding of stock management and control systems
- Ideally will have a forklift licence
