The individual will also contribute to showcasing successful initiatives via written articles and presentations and will play a key part in shaping a food environment that reflects both tradition and innovation across the schools.

  • Design and deliver new educational approaches in collaboration with the central nutrition team, aligned with the ethos and curriculum of each school.

  • Implement behaviour change strategies around food, underpinned by scientific evidence and aligned with school values.
  • Innovate and propose new ideas to enhance the food offer, service models, and sustainable practices across school sites.
  • Lead on the creation of case studies and success stories that evidence the impact of nutrition interventions.

  • Maintain nutrition support for identified pupils requiring bespoke guidance due to academic, sporting, or medical needs.
  • Provide training and ongoing education to catering teams around nutrition, allergens, and food service delivery.
  • Review and advise on menus across all school sites with regard to nutritional quality, allergen management, and food diversity.
  • Write, check, and implement medical diet menus in line with student requirements and in partnership with the Medical Diets Team.
  • Promote a joined-up approach by working closely with on-site chefs, food technology staff, and Heads of House.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s Climate Action Plan alongside the Chartwells Nutrition and Sustainability Team.
  • Contribute to the national Chartwells nutrition community through sharing insights, best practices, and collaborative projects.

Person Specification
