About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the facilities operations across a client contract. This is a key leadership role where you’ll be responsible for delivering high standards of facilities services in line with client expectations and Compass Group procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong operational and people management skills, as well as the ability to maintain high standards in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain strong client partnerships, focusing on clear communication and service excellence.

  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and responsiveness in all interactions.

  • Take full accountability for the consistent and effective delivery of all contracted services.

  • Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and site-specific guidelines as set by both the company and the client.

  • Ensure all statutory obligations are fully met, with compliance upheld at all times.

  • Oversee daily tasks with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to the approved work authorization protocols.

  • Possess a thorough understanding of all operational responsibilities, ensuring alignment with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance benchmarks (KPIs).

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in operations / contract management role

  • Previous Facilities Management experience 

  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH

  • Excellent people management and leadership skills

  • Demonstrate financial acumen

  • Previous experience of delivering client/customer satisfaction

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Good numerical skills and budget management experience

  • Proficient with IT systems
