Salary: £22,707 per annum (pro-rata)
Contract Type: Part-Time, 30 hours per week, Permanent
Working Hours: Flexible shifts over a 7-day period, predominantly 8:00am–2:00pm

About the role:
We're seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our catering team at Twycross Zoo. This part-time role is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-volume visitor environment, preparing quality baked goods and supporting the smooth running of our café and catering operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Preparing cakes, pastries, and sandwiches to a high standard
Managing allergens and ensuring compliance with allergen policies
Maintaining food safety standards and hygiene practices
Supporting the catering team with daily food production tasks
Ensuring high-volume production meets quality standards and service requirements
Contributing to efficient kitchen operations and supporting ad-hoc catering projects as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Proven ability to produce high-quality cakes and pastry items at high volumes
Knowledge of food safety and allergen management
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and follow kitchen processes
Flexibility to work across different shifts over a 7-day period
Desirable:
Formal culinary qualification in pastry or bakery
