Job Introduction
The role….
On a day-to-day basis the Patient Services Manager, will plan, organise, and control both Patient Dining and Retail operations ensuring a successful and efficient service is provided throughout both hospitals. The retail provision includes a busy Costa Coffee (recently refurbished), Spice of Life Restaurant along with vending.
This is a senior role with within the unit and will work closely with key stakeholders along with the client. The person needs to be comfortable working in a highly pressurised but extremely satisfying environment whilst achieving contractual obligations.
This truly is a multifaceted role with lots of variety and scope for the successful candidate.
The role will include leading and coaching a team including managers and supervisors, therefore previous experience managing a diverse team is required.
Compliance is key to this role, along with an eye for detail – we guarantee that no two days are the same!
You will ensure that the service provided to both hospitals is first class through training and motivating the team who work to regulations.

Who you are?
- You'll have large scale catering & retail management experience
- You can get your head around the financial aspect of running the operation easily – numbers are key
- You hold a CIEH Level 4 – or equivalent Food 4 Food Hygiene Qualification
- Ideally your background will include working with nutritional and dietary requirements to ensure we're doing the best for the patients, if not don’t worry you will receive all required training!
- Strong communication skills are a must
- You're someone who is customer focused at all times
- The ability to work to tight deadlines comes naturally to you
- You have great organisation skills, along with being flexible & self-motivated
- Possess good IT skills

- Working hours are Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, with occasional weekend working depending on business needs
