You will be working amongst our team of procurement professionals driving us forward.

We’re looking to hire a Procurement Manager to work in the Levy Ireland business alongside the Foodbuy & Compass Ireland Procurement team. You will ensure effective vendor performance management & reporting including supply chain transparency & traceability. You will also support on new business bids & client retention.

More about the role:

  • Develop and execute a long-term strategy to deliver sustainable improvements in terms of cost, quality, service and innovation, in collaboration with the Foodbuy & Ireland procurement teams & Levy business stakeholders
  • Analyse current purchasing data and Identify savings opportunities within the current supply chain
  • Identify potential new suppliers and producers, visiting, and meeting existing suppliers and producers, building, and maintaining relationships
  • Approve & onboard new vendors where required including contract negotiation
  • Understand future trends ensuring we maintain our market leading position & be able to affect change as needed
  • Deliver financial targets including inflation mitigation, cash & managing debt & new commercial value
  • Develop and maintain long term pricing mechanisms/cost models across sub-categories & the supply base to drive sustainable competitive advantage and ensure seasonal supply procured at the optimum time.

Who you are:

  • Already operating as a category manager or Senior Buyer and looking to develop and progress your career at a more strategic level or looking to use your expertise and experience to shape and define this newly created role
  • Experience in procurement essential, ideally in a food or events/hospitality environment.
  • Solid analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to make effective decisions
  • Proven ability to reduce cost in tough market conditions
  • Results oriented, comfortable delivering against bold and stretching targets
  • Can be recognised as a subject matter expert
  • Competent with procurement systems, ideally having used these in current/previous employment & ability to develop credible business relationships
  • Experience of influencing and negotiating with teams at all levels
