Job Introduction
4am to 1pm
- To report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and protective clothing and adhering to specified grooming standards.
- To help with the daily management of Rocket events kitchen ensuring everything is prepared to the correct specifications, packed, and labelled correctly and ready to leave on time.
- Work within the Rocket’s HACCP’s guidelines, following instructions provide during onboarding and training.
- Collaborate as a team to minimise waste of any food products through considered ordering and planning.
- Ensure that the kitchen areas are kept safe, and any dangerous or hazardous situations are reported to the manager on duty immediately.
- To ensure that operating equipment is kept clean, respected, and is looked after at the end of each shift and report any areas of concerns.
- Work to Rocket’s high standards in all areas of Health & Safety including keeping a clean and tidy workspace, ensuring to work to best practise.
- Continue to maintain and develop a good working relationship with all the other colleagues around you, both in the kitchen and front of house, encouraging the Rocket team spirit.
- Assess and ensure that recipes, operating standards and relocating dishes are always adhered to, ensuring consistency, and assisting other team members in doing so.
- Assist with producing and serving tasting at the production unit.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of allergens.
- Performing all section required tasks, ensuring that all items are correctly labelled and packaged, and sent out to jobs in a timely manner.
- Management of scheduled timings and breaks, following company policies on shift recording.
- Following of event sheets, allergens, and job sheets, assisting the chef in charge during events.
- Management of stock including advanced preparation, freezer management and to ensure that levels are correct, in date and FIFO system is used.
- Participating in events with a team of chefs, assisting to ensure quality, timings and specifications are meet.
