About the Role

You will play a key role in the production team, preparing and assembling plated meals while ensuring all products meet strict quality, safety, and hygiene standards. This includes accurate weighing of ingredients, working on a production line, and maintaining compliance with production plans and food safety regulations.

Working Hours

40 hours per week

Monday – Friday: 07:30 – 16:00

Flexibility and occasional overtime required to meet operational demands

Key Responsibilities

Follow production plans at all times

Ensure all products are produced to the correct specification and quality standards

Weigh ingredients accurately in line with recipes

Minimise waste through correct weighing

Ensure achievement of daily production targets

Maintain 100% compliance with GMP, quality, and food safety standards

Complete all paperwork accurately and within required timescales

Report and communicate any quality or production issues promptly

Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas and equipment following cleaning schedules and Cleaning Instruction Cards

Ensure all utensils, machinery, and work areas meet hygiene standards

Use correct chemicals and PPE for all cleaning tasks

Record and dispose of waste appropriately

Complete and sign off cleaning schedules

Follow all company Health & Safety policies

Wear appropriate PPE at all times

Ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

Communicate key issues to Production Manager or QA team

Be flexible and adaptable to support various areas of the factory

Contribute to continuous improvement of processes

Support achievement of company targets including customer service, waste reduction, and efficiency

Achievement of daily production and packing plans

Accuracy and completion of documentation

Key Competencies

Essential

Good communication skills

Reasonable numeracy and literacy skills

Self-motivated with ability to work independently

Strong time management skills

Flexible and proactive approach

Team player with a "can-do" attitude

Desirable

Knowledge of food hygiene and quality standards (desirable)

Proven experience in food or raw material handling (desirable)
