Regional Kitchen Assistant - Darlington
- £13.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Kitchen Support
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation and food production tasks as required
- Support the preparation of packed meals in line with approved menus and procedures
- Ensure food preparation areas are clean, organised, and ready for service
- Follow instructions and standard operating procedures at all times
Cleaning & Hygiene
- Clean kitchen and dining areas in line with agreed cleaning schedules
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, work surfaces, and service areas
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and cleaning standards
- Report any hygiene, safety, or equipment concerns to the appropriate manager
Dining Area & Customer Support
- Prepare dining areas prior to service, ensuring they are clean and well presented
- Maintain dining areas during and after service periods
- Serve food to customers where required
- Assist customers with basic queries in a polite and professional manner
Regional & Operational Support
- Travel between sites within the region to provide operational support
- Support different kitchen teams as required to meet business needs
- Adapt quickly to different working environments and site layouts
- Undertake overnight stays when required to support regional operations
