Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine commercial models for client retention proposals.
- Work closely with Finance Business Partners and Sector Teams to estimate, review, and challenge retention requirements.
- Provide commercial options and scenario planning to create financially sustainable and attractive client proposals.
- Manage and accurately populate financial sign-off documentation and submissions.
- Own the bid timeline, ensuring deadlines are met for data collation, modelling, and stakeholder reviews.
- Conduct post-investment appraisals to extract lessons learned and refine future retention strategies.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across finance, sales, and operational teams.
- Provide commercial insights and present financial strategies in client-facing meetings and site visits.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Accountant or part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with experience in commercial finance or accounting.
- Strong commercial awareness, including scenario planning capabilities.
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills.
- Proven ability to business partner with non-finance professionals.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Confidence to challenge senior management and drive strategic decision-making.
- Ability to manage workloads efficiently and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Process-oriented with a disciplined approach to accuracy and documentation.
