Sales and Marketing Manager - Leopardstown Racecourse, Dublin | Full-Time / 12 month fixed term contract

Up to €70,000 (DOE) + bonus and excellent benefits including healthcare, wellbeing support, 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, meals on duty, and more.

We're looking for a confident Sales and Marketing Manager with the passion and skills to drive business opportunities and maximize hospitality and venue sales as part of our dynamic Horse Racing Division team.

As Sales and Marketing Manager you will optimise sales across some of Ireland's biggest race-day events; based alongside our collaborative team at Leopardstown Racecourse and also working across at Fairyhouse and The Curragh Racecourses.

Sales and Marketing Manager - The role

  • Lead and inspire the Sales & Events team within the Horse Racing Division.
  • Drive sales performance by delivering monthly KPIs, targets, and revenue growth.
  • Develop and manage impactful marketing campaigns and budgets.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through targeted sales strategies.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Represent the venue at networking events, trade shows, and client hospitality events.
  • Champion sales excellence with expert knowledge of the full sales cycle.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless event delivery and outstanding customer experiences.
  • Oversee sales reporting, revenue analysis, and departmental budget management.
  • Bring exceptional planning, organisation, and attention to detail, with strong knowledge of the MICE and Business Tourism sectors.

What we're looking for

  • Proven management level experience in the hospitality industry
  • A commercial mindset and awareness, keyed into changes within the industry with a proven ability to develop new business, increase revenue and maximize yield performance 
  • Flexibility to travel nationally and internationally as required 
  • A love of food, sustainability & technology!
  • Highly motivated with a passion for the sales process, event management and marketing
  • Excellent planning and communication skills
  • Highly organised and proficient in using Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Enthusiastic and approachable personality 
  • Must be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and is able to work outside the comfort zone while maintaining the ability to be objective and positive 
  • Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service 
  • Full Irish driving licence and access to own vehicle required (travel expenses provided)
  • Degree level qualification in Business / Hospitality related discipline is a bonus!
