Role Purpose
As a Senior Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional food experiences at the ICC within the NEC. Working as part of a high-performing kitchen brigade, you will take ownership of your section, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume events environment, requiring a passionate and organised chef who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering outstanding hospitality.
You’ll support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in driving culinary excellence, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to menu innovation that keeps our offering fresh, exciting, and aligned with Levy’s reputation.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary Delivery
- Take full responsibility for your section, ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of dishes to the highest standards
- Deliver high-quality food across conferences, banqueting, and large-scale events
- Maintain strict portion, waste, and stock control to support cost efficiency
Food Quality & Standards
- Ensure all dishes meet Levy brand standards and client expectations
- Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment
Team Support & Development
- Support and mentor Commis Chefs and junior team members
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Contribute to a positive, motivated kitchen culture
Health & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Maintain excellent personal and kitchen hygiene practices
- Follow all company health & safety procedures
Innovation & Menu Development
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal changes
- Stay up to date with food trends and techniques
- Support the delivery of innovative and appealing food concepts
Person Specification
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior CDP in a high-volume environment
- Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation
- Passionate about food and hospitality
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A team player with a positive and proactive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends
