What you’ll be doing
- Insight & Analysis
- Lead the creation of high‑value insights across key data domains.
- Build sophisticated analytical models to support strategic decision‑making.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives for senior leaders.
- Spot trends, risks, and opportunities that guide business action.
- Stakeholder Partnership
- Act as the go‑to insight partner for business teams.
- Collaborate with Directors, Heads of, and operational leaders to shape analytical needs.
- Support the adoption of dashboards, reports, and data products.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Business Intelligence leads to ensure consistent reporting across sectors.
- Work with Data Governance teams to deliver trusted, standardised finance data.
- Champion a “single version of the truth” for finance reporting.
- Data Products & Dashboards
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of dashboards and reporting tools.
- Ensure outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned with finance standards.
- Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to refine pipelines and KPIs.
- Technical Excellence
- Develop solutions using SQL, Power BI, Databricks, and Excel modelling.
- Own and maintain core financial concepts (P&L, productivity, margins).
- Champion self‑service tools and scalable solutions.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reporting.
- Mentor analysts across the wider data and finance community.
What we’re looking for
- Strong technical skills in SQL, Power BI, and financial data modelling.
- Experience working with enterprise data models or governed domains.
- 10+ years working with finance, retail, pricing, or facilities management data.
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders across multiple sectors.
- Excellent communication skills—you can influence decisions and shape financial narratives.
- Highly organised, outcome‑focused, and comfortable working in cross‑functional teams.
