We're currently recruiting a dedicated Soft Service Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Healthcare on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

More about the role:

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Understand and deliver all contractual terms for portering and linen services delivered in the healthcare sector.
  • Ensure that portering and linen standards are high and increase positive patient satisfaction scores.
  • Excellent people leadership skills, with evidence of the ability to engage and motivate people at all levels & the development of high performing teams
  • Analyse and manage effectively in unit cost
  • Ensure full purchasing compliance for all service streams
  • Ensure records for the portering service are accurately inputted and maintained
  • Complete labour schedule within the labour budget
  • Experience of leading successful and ongoing continuous improvement programmes
  • A track record of regular achievement of both financial and personal objectives
  • Effectively minimise any agency and overtime spend

Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Operational experience in a similar hospital environment
  • Experience with KPI’s and data analytics
  • Computer literate
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work to strict pressured deadlines
  • Able to communicate at all time

Desirable

  • HND / Degree in Management
  • Financial acumen
  • Industry aware
  • Assertive, calm and works well under pressure

What we'll give:

Soft Service Manager - Based at Darent Valley Hospital

  • Salary is up to £40,000 depending on experience
  • 40 hours per week
