Job Introduction
We're currently recruiting a Specialist Hygiene Cleaning Operative to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Compass Group Ireland, contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Working as part of a specialist cleaning team, you will play a vital role in ensuring critical production and operational areas remain safe, compliant, and hygienic at all times. Full training will be provided to equip you with the specialist cleaning techniques and procedures required for the role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside the cleaning and facilities team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
- Cleaning and sanitising designated production and operational areas in line with strict site procedures.
- Carrying out specialist hygiene cleaning tasks following detailed cleaning schedules and work instructions.
- Dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising floors, surfaces, equipment, and touchpoints.
- Adhering to all de-gowning and hygiene protocols before entering and exiting controlled areas.
- Ensuring all cleaning activities are completed in accordance with strict health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting stock requirements.
- Responding promptly to any hygiene or cleaning issues identified within the facility.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation where required.
Our ideal Specialist Hygiene Cleaning Operative will:
- Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in delivering high standards of work.
- Be comfortable working in a warm-temperature environment.
- Be willing to follow a strict de-gowning process and hygiene protocols.
- Be able to wear full PPE for the duration of shifts.
- Be physically able to perform manual handling and heavy lifting duties.
- Have a strong understanding of the importance of health, safety, and hygiene compliance.
- Be reliable, dependable, and able to follow detailed procedures accurately.
- Be comfortable working in a high-risk environment where precision and attention to detail are critical.
- Have previous cleaning experience, ideally within hygiene, manufacturing, food production, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or similarly regulated environments (desirable but not essential).
- Be willing to undertake specialist training and continuously develop their skills.
