ACRE Hospitality brings together Birchwood and Nettle, our thriving Events by Nettle business and the wider Members Community offer at The Conduit in Covent Garden. Created for Levy UK & Ireland’s food and beverage operation at The Conduit, ACRE brings these experiences together under one hospitality identity, with chef partner Will Devlin shaping the food direction. We are building a team around great food and warm, generous hospitality.
Our approach begins with food, farming and hospitality. We work closely with farmers, growers, fishermen and producers, celebrating ingredients that are grown, reared and sourced with care. We believe in seasonality, sustainability and doing things the right way. Across ACRE, you will also gain experience through our restaurants, bars, events and member spaces.
Your Place in ACRE
Nettle is a recently opened rooftop restaurant guided by the British landscape and the seasons. Its menu celebrates carefully sourced produce through thoughtful cooking, matched by service that is knowledgeable, relaxed and personal. The dining room, balcony and garden look out across the city, giving the restaurant a distinctive setting throughout the day.
As a Waiter at Nettle, you will bring experience from a discerning hospitality environment where care and attention matter. Warm, curious and proud of your craft, you will have the confidence to read the room, anticipate what guests need and recognise that the smallest gestures often leave the biggest impression. From welcome to farewell, you will deliver attentive service, build deep knowledge of our menus, ingredients and drinks, make thoughtful recommendations and work closely with the wider team so every service feels calm, personal and well organised. Nettle will be your primary home within the wider ACRE team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Create a genuine welcome from the moment guests arrive, reading the occasion and shaping your service around what will make their visit feel special.
- Bring our menus to life through confident knowledge of ingredients, provenance, preparation and drinks, making thoughtful recommendations while checking any dietary or allergen information with the kitchen or manager before advising.
- Own the rhythm of your tables, taking accurate orders, anticipating the next moment and working seamlessly with the floor, kitchen and bar to keep service flowing.
- Serve every dish and drink with care and pride, keeping your section ready for service and completing opening and closing duties to the highest standards of food safety, allergen awareness, licensing and health and safety.
- Stay one step ahead of guests, noticing the details, responding quickly and turning straightforward concerns into positive outcomes, with support from a manager whenever needed.
- Bring the same accuracy and care to the final moments of the experience, handling bills, payments and transactions confidently in line with cash, till and service procedures.
- Be part of one close-knit ACRE team: communicate clearly, step in where needed and support our restaurants, bars, events and member spaces when appropriate and agreed.
